A native of Utah, Paule Sheya Hewlett has lived in Houston for 25 years, where she has worked as a freelance marketing writer and consultant while raising two daughters with her husband. Her hobbies have always involved art and crafts.

“It’s beyond me” is her long-standing reaction to both the absurdity and the wonder of everyday life. At various points, starting another business has seemed . . . beyond her.

For several years, Paule produced stationery items based on her watercolors, which were given as gifts. Beyond Her Productions was officially launched in 1999. Since then, the product line has grown steadily.

Beyond Her products are sold primarily on-line and at art and gift shows around the country.
