About Beyond Her
Beyond Her is a collection of artisan stationery, housewares and apparel with a fresh, organic point of view. Our goods blend modern design with green living in the objects we use every day -- in the kitchen and on the table, at our desks and on our shoulders.

Original designs are produced in small quantities and lovingly assembled piece by piece in the USA. It's a true cottage industry.

Due to the nature of our small business, all editions are limited.  The good news is, if we're sold out of the item you want, we'll often have something new that you'll love just as much.

Beyond Her is Green
Beyond Her is an independent design company, using natural and heritage materials that have stood the test of time. You'll find 100% cotton, cotton canvas, and cotton and rayon jersey among our textiles, and paperstocks with recycled content in our stationery line. Many of our products are designed to replace disposable goods, such as napkins, dish towels and totes.

Although we believe beautiful packaging is part of the experience, we try to keep our packaging to a minimum, making it re-usable wherever possible. All Beyond Her products are packaged in our shop, by people who care. We use solvent-free, water-based silkscreen inks to hand-screen our textiles  -- which is why they have such a sofft hand -- and a Canon 9000 inkjet printer with archival ink for paper goods.

About the Artist
“It’s beyond me” is Paule's long-standing reaction to both the absurdity and the wonder of everyday life. At various points, starting another business has seemed . . . beyond her.

paule hewlett the artistFor many year Paule produced stationery items based on her watercolors, which were given as gifts. Beyond Her Productions was officially launched in 1999. Since then, the product line has grown steadily, and adapted to her forays into different mediums. Currently inspired by silk screening - watch what you wear around her!

In 2010, Beyond Her crossed back into Paule's writing roots with the It's Beyond Her blog. Containing musings from funny life moments, the blog highlights our favorite things, tips for green living, and Beyond Her previews.

What does "Artisan" mean?
Beyond Her products are not produced in large quantities, or by machine, which means that there will be variations in texture, color, imprint pressure, etc. That is the nature of hand-crafted goods. However, we design everything with quality and durability in mind. The silkscreen ink we use is permanent and heat-set, so it will last through loads of washing and drying.

Most Beyond Her products are produced by us, in our shop, but we do sometimes outsource to small local printing, silkscreening or binding shops. Whenever possible, we purchase products made in the USA, from other small business owners, because we love this country and all the small business owners who are passionate about their products.

Come back soon!

Beyond Her is not about consumption. We believe in living a creative live and surrounding yourself with beautiful things. Here's to life, above and beyond!
